Just like you are probably only going to spend less than 10 seconds to read this post, most visitors to your website will do likewise.
That's why it is called website browsing!
That means if your homepage does not look professional, does not showcase what you do clearly, does not showcase the kind of clients you work with, then when 10 seconds is up, it's likely your website visitor will click BACK and browse another website.
